For my first blog post, I thought I would skip, yet somewhat incorporate, the dreaded intro by desperately diving into the first series I want to bring to this site. This series will welcome a curated set of monthly insights to what the next thirty days hold in store for me, as well as a reflection of the previous month. Please welcome… the “hello” series!

With the end of summer fast approaching, Virgo season is upon us. I may be a bit biased, but I mean it when I say I’m a true autumn baby; cozy nights, colourful hues and big jackets. If it’s one thing we can probably agree on, it’s that AW fashion beats any other season.
Oversized fits, browns, warm layers. What’s not to love? Each year autumn knocks at our wardrobe door with unlimited possibilities and co-ordinations, which leads me into my next topic of conversation:
purchase of the month
My Moschino umbrella! If I had to pick one item which I wholeheartedly believe I won’t regret buying, it would be this. And even though I technically didn’t purchase it this month, I’m certain it will be a necessary accessory in September.

It’s a classic black umbrella with the iconic Moschino logo and teddy bear case. I purchased it earlier on in the year from TK Maxx, the best department store for finding hidden gems!
During August, I think I’ve witnessed more lightning illuminating my living room than I have throughout the entirety of my life. For the last unofficial summer month I think it’s half disappointing (yet remarkable?), and half typical; living in Britain for over ten years now, I’ve definitely adapted to the (un)predictable weather and that is why my Moschino umbrella is definitely a purchase I don’t regret.
It’s cute, practical, and compact; what more could I ask for? Did I mention the cute bear pouch it comes with?
food & drink

What would a morning routine be with coffee? To me, non-existent but lately I’ve been aiming to cut down on the caffeine so I decided stir away from my usual oat milk flat white/iced latte to develop a new obsession with tea.
To survive through storm Ellen, I often found myself cozying up with a green tea & lemon concoction. I’ve also been recently enjoying chamomile tea; generally I’m a coffee addict but I’ve learnt that if you add to honey to anything, it will almost definitely make it taste good..

location of the month
This month, my boyfriend and I checked out a new restaurant: Inamo. Their menu consists of a wide variety of Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Thai food, including sushi – which I must admit was to die for.
The unique thing about this restaurant is the interactive tables; you can play games and order food this way. Although due to the beautiful weather, we chose to dine outside and enjoy the last few moments of sunshine. We don’t regret this decision as we definitely plan on returning to Inamo and taking advantage of their innovative tables another time.
My favourite thing on the menu was Buddha’s Way Roll, a salmon & tuna mix wrapped in inari and topped with caviar. Upon trying this delicious roll, I have found a new love for caviar and we ordered this dish 3 times – it was too good!
We also tried the octopus takoyaki, which was my first time ever trying octopus. It was interesting and unpredictable to say to least, with a consistency of a donut (?!) as it was coated with a creamy sauce and wrapped in batter. It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever tried, but it definitely surprised my taste buds a fair bit and I think is have to try it again to give it a fair review.

Sushi is one of my favourite things to indulge on, and one of the reasons why I think it’s so good is because it doesn’t make you feel overly full – that ‘I-can’t-move-and-need-a-postdinner-siesta type full. As far as I’m aware, I think it’s also a pretty healthy option of cuisine so that’s another bonus.
the month ahead
September is a month full of new ventures and new beginnings, this year being no exception even with the pandemic. I am starting a fashion buying course at the Fashion Retail Academy in a week’s time and I’m super excited. It’s also located a 2 minute walk away from Oxford Street, so I’m sure it won’t be a boring experience with all the shops and places to eat so nearby.
Secondly, I turn 19 on the 14th of September (!) and coronavirus won’t stop me from enjoying that. Luckily, a lot of the rules surrounding Covid-19 have been lifted just in time so at least I get to celebrate with a meal out, unlike a few of my friends who were unfortunate enough to spend their birthdays in lockdown away from their friends and family.
All in all, September is looking like it will be an exciting month with a lot happening. I’m setting myself a goal to blog at least twice throughout this month, to get this blog started with a kick and that seems easy enough with the few events that I have planned in the next 30 days!
Thanks for reading!
